For Attorneys & Claimants
Personal Injury Chiropractic Care
Documented, conservative treatment for patients recovering from auto accidents, slip-and-falls, and workplace injuries — coordinated with your attorney and insurer.
Our Process
A Straightforward Process, Built for Your Case
Personal injury cases add a layer of complexity most patients don't expect — coordinating care around an open claim, keeping records consistent enough to hold up to scrutiny, and communicating with attorneys or insurers who weren't in the room for your exam.
Twin Cities Chiropractic Spine and Injury Center handles that complexity as a matter of course. Dr. Larsen has spent more than three decades treating personal injury patients, and the practice's documentation and coordination habits reflect that experience.
Insurance Basics
Minnesota Is a No-Fault State
Minnesota is a no-fault state for auto insurance. Under the Minnesota No-Fault Automobile Insurance Act (Minn. Stat. § 65B.41–65B.71), every auto policy issued in Minnesota must include Personal Injury Protection (PIP) — also called No-Fault or Basic Economic Loss Benefits — which pays for reasonable, necessary medical care after a car accident regardless of who caused the crash.
In practice, that means chiropractic treatment for whiplash, back pain, and other accident-related injuries is typically billed directly to your own auto insurer's No-Fault coverage first — before fault is ever determined, and without waiting for a liability claim to resolve. Minnesota's standard minimum No-Fault coverage is $40,000 in Basic Economic Loss Benefits: up to $20,000 for medical expenses and up to $20,000 for wage loss and other related costs.
Once No-Fault benefits are exhausted or unavailable, care can often continue under a lien-based billing arrangement while a liability claim is pending. Coverage details vary by policy — this is general information, not legal or insurance advice, and our office verifies your specific No-Fault benefits before treatment begins. This section describes Minnesota's rules specifically — Wisconsin, including Hudson, is an at-fault state with a different claims process; see our Hudson location page for details.
